The Drinking Jacket addresses the ongoing heavy alcohol usage between young-generation in the Baltics. Instead of forbidding to sell of alcohol at numerous events and trying to restrict alcohol selling more and more, the jacket is a helpful and absurd gesture to have warm clothing and provide a less-harmful environment for drinking.
